Interesting Fact: Amanda has always wanted to help others in some capacity, but it wasn’t until her daughter was healing from the sexual abuse she endured that Amanda realized what she was meant to do.
Amanda had been working in “Corporate America” when she left it all behind, followed her heart and Founded, Innocent Children Foundation. Amanda says: “It is important to me that those with limited means and/or a lack of a stable support system are provided the opportunity to heal from the sexual abuse they have endured. Lack of resources should not prevent a child from overcoming something that never should have happened to them and I make sure, it doesn’t.”
Along with developing, managing and executing the programs for the Charity, Amanda is also writing a book, developing a radio show to educate on a global level AND planning to address Washington State Legislation to pass ‘Promising Rachel’. “I have many things I intend to accomplish and God willing, half a life left to do it in.”
Amanda has traveled a great deal in her lifetime and lived in multiple cities all over the nation. She resides in Chicago, though she considers New Orleans her home away from home. Amanda loves all genres of music, cooking and spending time with loved ones! Amanda may work around the clock but she absolutely makes time to have fun!
Fun Fact: Amanda gets a kick out of playing practical jokes on others. “I live to laugh, it’s that simple.”
